Byrd's offers many miles of single track and multi use
trails for mountain bikes. You'll find more than 15 miles of casual
riding on the wide, mostly level path around the perimeter of our airstrip
and throughout main camping areas. This beginner friendly trail wanders
along 3 miles of the Mulberry River and makes its way around several
ponds, forested areas, and scenic spots. Our advanced trails offer a
combination of multi-use and single track against the steep mountainsides
of the Adventure Center. The expert cross-country loop can be ridden
any direction, climbing and descending over bluff overlooks and boulder
strewn drainages. In addition, downhill riders can blaze numerous existing
challenges, with many new route possibilities available by permission.
Byrd's is a great basecamp for riding in the surrounding Ozark National
Forest, with limitless miles of forest roads available in the 17,000-acre
Indian Creek Dispersed Recreation Area bordering us to the north. To
the south riders can explore the spectacular Clear Creek and Devil's
Hollow rides. We recommend riding anytime except July and August, due
to intense humidity, bugs, and undergrowth. Fall, winter, and spring
offer great riding at Byrd's and the surrounding Ozark National Forest.
